Spirit Day #ResistDance Werkshop with Firas Nasr

Firas Nasr, founder of WERK for Peace and host of Dance Party Protests around the country will be coming to the Holy city to celebrate Spirit Day with CATS (Charleston Area Trans Support)!

Founded in response to the Pulse Nightclub shooting, WERK for Peace is a queer and trans grassroots movement that uses all forms of dance to promote peace. They bring the dance floor to the streets to occupy space and use our bodies to WERK for social justice. Their dance protests have taken place in front of the houses of Mike Pence, Ivanka Trump, and others to demand change around issues pertinent to the queer and trans experience.

*** From 6pm-8pm Everyone is welcomed to join us at the Isaac Stern Auditorium Firas will host a dance party protest workshop. How to organize collectively and as a means of promoting empowerment

*** From 8-2am Just us, if you are 21+ at Dudleys On Ann for a Spirit Day after party with Firas and Patti O'Furniture
