Now, more than ever, we must come together. All those working to end gun violence in and against their communities will be affected by the incoming Trump administration.
WERK for Peace, in collaboration with CODEPINK and others, is organizing Strength in Synergy: An Intersectional Summit for Gun Violence Prevention. We invite you to join us for this important and timely summit on December 10th, 2016 at American University in Washington, DC.
The event is a one-day summit with workshops, panels, dialogues, and co-working sessions concluding with a happy hour and art performance. The summit will provide a platform to discuss the intersections of gun violence prevention with the movement for black lives, LGBTQ+ rights, anti-Islamophobia, immigrant rights, native lives, domestic violence prevention, police reform, poverty alleviation, gender and reproductive justice, and others.
PLEASE REGISTER so we know you are coming. Registration is free and is live! Learn more and register at: www.strengthinsynergy.com!
