With the Predator in Chief and his woman- and LGBT-hating sidekick Daddy Pence actively working to take our bodily autonomy, condone and excuse sexual violence, and silence survivors, get ready to #WERKforConsent! The Trump administration has worked tirelessly to silence and sideline individuals who experience sexual violence, especially those at the margins – queer and trans individuals, people of color, immigrants, sex workers, people with disabilities – who experience sexual violence at higher rates. Donald Trump himself has been accused by at least 19 women of sexual misconduct. It is time to uplift survivors’ voices and reclaim our bodily autonomy.

The senate majority leader needs to know that we will not give him and his cronies a pass to blatantly attack our communities. The Senate's version of repealing and replacing Obamacare will target the most vulnerable members of our communities. In defunding Planned Parenthood, dramatically cutting medicaid, and repealing taxes on the wealthy, the bill will leave millions without coverage and especially target women, people with HIV/AIDS, people with disabilities, low income people, people of color, and people who use mental health services.

A sweeping draconian religious freedom Executive Order is about to crash through our communities. According to numerous sources, the leaked draft is likely to be signed today. It has rollbacks for reproductive rights and religious freedom opt outs to any person, org, entity on moral objections to trans identities, premarital sex, and same-sex marriage. In response, we are heading to the White House to send a clear message to the nation that this bigotry and hate will not be tolerated in our city and in our country. 

In collaboration with the People's Climate Movement and local queer, environmental, immigrant, and workers organizations, we will boogey, shimmey, and booty-shake down Pennsylvania Ave, taking a tour of all the locations that are currently working daily to keep us oppressed! We will make special stops at the White House, the District Building, Department of Justice, Trump Hotel, EPA, IRS, Department of Labor, and Congress. Then in a glittery show of loving, glamourous, and fabulous hip-shaking, head-thumping, fist-pumping, booty-shaking celebration, we will demand justice and turn-up the ResisDANCE to a whole other level.

JOIN US on the North Side of the White House from 5:30- 8 pm for a rally and dance protest celebrating the lives of trans people of color and trans youth. 

The Trump administration has made it clear that the lives of trans youth are disposable by rescinding Title IX transgender guidance issued last year by President Obama.

Title IX protects transgender students and requires school districts to respect and affirm the lives of trans youth including access to appropriate services and facilities. Misgendering a trans person is an act of violence! Forcing trans youth to conform with oppressive gender performance and presentation is an act of violence!
